Cross  country day!


was a great day for  RUNNING! 

My winning runners were Nikau 1st,  in the year 3's Thomas came 2nd in the year 3's and Manu came 3rd as a year 4.

It was a very exciting time for Ruma Tahi.

Cross-country day today and what a fine day for this event.   I am looking forward in seeing all the children having fun and running their hearts content.

I will take lots of photos and post them up for all to see.

Marae Trip

What an excellent day at the Marae on Thursday 17.05.12. 

We learnt about the meaning of the Marae and the kawa o te Marae(protocols of the Marae)  Kara helped Whaea Darnielle   say the karanga which is being called onto the Marae.  

We had heaps of fun activities related to the culture of the Marae on a sunny day.  

Tama-nui-te-ra was shinning bright!
